About the Foundation

The Bob Emig Foundation was started in 2004. Founder Aaron Emig, Bob’s oldest son, started the foundation to continue his father’s work in helping youth develop well-rounded lives by providing them a healthy sports experience.  He loved sports—as a participant, coach and sports writer—and felt these experiences were a contributor to the successful family and professional life he built.

 Our Vision

 Inspiring Youth Athletes…Transforming Lives

Our Mission

Promoting the well-being of youth through sports

We believe in providing opportunities for youth to enjoy the many benefits of a sports experience including having fun and developing skills that they can use throughout their lives.  We encourage “going beyond the game” to allow for that learning experience.

“The Bob Emig Foundation has been a key supporter of Father McGivney Catholic High School athletics since before our school even opened its doors. With the support the foundation has given FMCHS, we have been able to host over a dozen basketball and volleyball camps for youth in the community, as well as purchase athletic equipment and uniforms for all of our student-athletes. Without the help of the Bob Emig Foundation, we would have been scrambling to find the funds necessary to begin our athletic teams. Fortunately for us, we have had the foundation's help from the very beginning, and because of that, our students have been able to enjoy the benefits of sports without having to pay for playing.”
David Michael - Development/Recruitment Director, Father McGivney Catholic High School
