The Bob Emig Foundation recently donated funds to go towards the CAC’s youth soccer program. This helped the program enter a tournament and equip them with new uniforms, socks, shorts, and balls!
Cultivating a Youth Soccer Program
“I've worked at the CAC for over five years now and have seen the great love of the East St. Louis community for basketball and football specifically and have always desired to marry my love for soccer with this community and the children I work with at the CAC. The biggest disparity for us is how expensive it is to play such a simple game. With the help of the Bob Emig Foundation we were able to directly pay for a tournament fee as well as equip our players with actual home and away jerseys, shorts, socks, and new soccer balls. As we look forward, we are eager to be a part of indoor leagues, summer camps, tournaments, and to continue to cultivate a deep love for soccer!”
