To nominate a leader in youth sports for recognition at our annual Celebrating Leaders in Youth Sports event email your nominee(s) name and a description of why you believe they meet the criteria below to camille@emigfoundation.org.

Honorees demonstrate the characteristics encouraged and recognized by the Bob Emig Foundation that are incorporated in its Vision and Mission.

Cathy Hill Volunteer Award

  • Promotes the well-being of youth through sports
  • Provides opportunities for youth to participate in sports (especially under-served youth)
  • Provides an environment for youth to enjoy the benefits of a healthy youth sports experience
  • Inspires and mentors youth
  • Provides a life-changing experience for youth

Jim Emig Coach Award

  • Promotes the well-being of youth through sports
  • Provides opportunities for youth to participate in sports (especially under-served youth)
  • Provides an environment for youth to enjoy the benefits of a healthy youth sports experience
  • Creates an environment that “goes beyond the game”—that makes youth sports a life learning experience
  • Educate youth athletes in the areas of health and life skills development
  • Serves as a role model for youth in sports
  • Demonstrates leadership that encourages teamwork and focus on doing one’s best
  • Inspires and mentors youth
  • Provides a life-changing experience for youth

Todd Bruns Athlete Award

  • Serves as a role model in leadership, focus and always doing one’s best
  • “Goes beyond the game”
  • Inspires and mentor teammates
  • Takes every opportunity offered to learn and grow through the sports experience
  • Demonstrates this growth on and off the field including in academics and community involvement

 Jeremy Jones Teamwork Award

  • Works together as a team “to go beyond the game”
  • Promotes the well-being of youth through sports
  • Serves the under-served community through acts of charity
  • Provides life skill lessons to youth
  • Creates mentoring opportunities to serve those in need
  • Demonstrates sportsmanship on and off the field

Bob Emig Supporter Award

  • Has a track record of promoting the well-being of youth through sports
  • Has a track record of providing opportunities for youth to participate in sports (especially under-served youth) through donations or sponsorships
  • Has a track record of providing an environment for youth to enjoy the benefits of a healthy youth sports experience through donations or sponsorships
  • Has served as a role model for youth in sports
  • Has demonstrated leadership for youth in sports
